DADs fighting for right to kids

posted on Nov 27, 2006 (modified on Nov 27, 2006)

Well I just want to say hello.   A little about me. I am a divorced dad of two geat kids   I was divorced  in Jan. of 2000. Back then I was working for an airline with preaty good pay and benefits, I was able to keep up with the bills and every thing. But since then the airlines have come after the employees. I now work twice as many days for less than half pay.  That is my dilema, Now my ex manipulates my time with the kids into her time. since I only am home 10 days a month I am lucky to get my kids for 5 days and the ex could careless if the kids see me or not. My kids want to be with me but are afraid to ask thier mom. she has a temper. If I could afford a lawyer I would ask the courts to adjust my Child support I pay to what the state says is fair. I have not missed any support payments yet instead I am letting things go like car insurance and the phone bill. this only is going to make matters worse once this catches up with me.  My ex has the house and  has puts the kids in every activity possible so that when she does let them be with me,  she is there as well. When the courts ruled , I was awarded visitation for the days I am home. However this is impossible to enforce unless you have a lawyer.  All I want is the abilty to be a Dad, not a visiter.  The Kids are getting older and are starting to understand. I hope that soon the kids will hold thier MOM accountable for her actions justy as I want them to hold me accountable.  thanks for letting me rant.   I have a paypal account address  cpvfly@comcast.net.
